Who's who
There are a wide range of leading policy makers and opinion formers involved with cen. The Management Committee is responsible for cen's day-to-day operations and our patrons help to ensure we maximise our impact.

Peter Ainsworth - Chairman of the Board
Paul Foote - Managing Director
Paul Foote is the Managing Director of the Conservative Enivronment Network. A former adviser to the Shadow Environment Secretary and Chief of Staff to the Shadow Transport team he has extensive experience in environment and climate change policy.
Gavin Dick - Treasurer
Gavin Dick is a Councillor in Southampton and has served as Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport.
Gavin studied politics and law at university and has worked extensively in Brussels and Westminster.
Jessica Lennard - Director of Events
Jessica Lennard is repsonsible for shaping the CEN events calender to influence the debate about contemporary environment policy. She qualified as a solicitor with Linklaters LLP before joining the office of the Shadow Minister for Climate Change, Greg Barker, where she managed the Conservative Climate Campaign. She now works on energy and climate change projects at Hanover Communications.
Thomas Sweetman - Director of Membership
Thomas Sweetman manages CEN's coporate and individual members. He is an expert in environment policy and social enterprise. Having previously worked as a policymaker at London's City Hall and Research Fellow at Policy Exchange he is now engaged in accelerating the growth of the social enterprise sector.
Prior to this he studied arts and sciences at Durham University before spending time as a consultant in a major city firm as well conducting research for several leading think tanks. He has been published in a variety of reports and articles including national and specialist media.
Garvan Walshe - Director of Publications
Garvan Walshe heads The Research Department, Ltd, a policy consultancy. He was
previously National and International Security Policy Adviser to the Conservative Party.
He has also worked for Policy Exchange, is involved in a new political academy in Latin America and will shortly begin a PhD on the political philosophy of climate change.
